ALKY-ONE® Gasket
Description
To meet the challenges of sealing Hydrofluoric Acid, our patented, fire-safe ALKY-ONE® gasket uses a Monel 400 Kamprofile primary seal and a 100% expanded PTFE barrier pillow to provide ID-to-OD sealing. The ALKY-ONE® gasket has a carbon steel outer ring. However, other alloys are available upon request.
Application
The ALKY-ONE® gasket is available for Hydrofluoric Alkylation Units and Sulfuric Alkylation Units. The ALKY-ONE® gasket is used for service temperatures up to 550°F.
Sealing Characteristics
- This gasket’s unique, patented features ensure that it will seal more quickly and tightly than any other alky-service gasket.
- The unique, integrally attached Barrier Pillow, made from 100% expanded PTFE, prevents acid intrusion and pooling on flange faces, reducing or eliminating the need to replace eroded flanges.
Chemical Compatibility
The ALKY-ONE® gasket utilizes materials specifically selected to provide chemical resistance for the intended service application.
Available Options
For Hydrofluoric applications: Monel 400 core, standard; carbon steel core, optional. For Sulfuric acid applications: 316 Stainless Steel, standard. Available for ASME B16.5 and ASME B16.47 flanges
